Does everything have to be perfect in your life?

Acknowledging and appreciating the goodness in you is a life skill. Human Perfectionist Nature or Perfectionism means you constantly don’t allow yourself to be happy because there’s one more thing you still have not achieved. As a result your relationships are affected and stress/anxiety/depression can set in. At Meridian Peak Hypnosis we work with clients of all ages to improve their lives by letting go of perfectionist natures through hypnosis and hypnotherapy.

Its great to have high standards but at some point, it becomes too much.  In the overall game of life, using perfectionism becomes a standard you can never achieve.

The rest of the world is always inventing something else to strive toward and to have.  In the process of always wanting more, we create stress, anxiety and even depression.  Relationships can be strained and even destroyed in the pursuit of having a perfect life that is really unattainable because the bar keeps moving up.

Human Perfectionist Nature Removes the Fun from Life and Achievement

Perfectionism creates a constant feeling of failure and like you are dissatisfied with yourself at all times.  Even when you did an awesome thing and others praise you for it, you refuse to let yourself acknowledge that you did it.

Some attributes of issues with Human Perfectionist Nature or Perfectionism:

• A person doesn’t allow themselves to be happy
• They end perfectly good relationships because others are not as perfect as them
• They see others as inferior because they do not strive for the same goals
• They feel like “if it’s not absolutely perfect its a disaster!”
• They engage in “black and white thinking” – there is no grey
• They have family and friends who label them a control freak
• They have stress, anxiety or depression from all of the above!

If you expect perfection all the time your will always be disappointed and your self esteem suffers.  Everything always has a way to be done better.  The life skill is knowing when to be “all or nothing” and when to relax and allow life to happen and unfold and know you are safe even if its not perfect.

Letting Go of Perfectionism is a Form of Wisdom

Hypnosis and hypnotherapy are modalities that help you to re-recognize that the only person you are in competition with is yourself.  Our hypnotherapists will help you let go of the requirement that everything must be perfect.

What you allow as perfect creates your happiness, reduces your stress and allows you to have healthy and happy relationships.

Hypnosis Can Help Make Needed Improvements

At Meridian Peak Hypnosis we work with clients of all ages who have perfectionist natures (aka, Human Perfectionist Nature).  Our therapists work with clients to identify what is really important in life and how to re-establish a relationship again both with themselves and others to reconnect with what is important.  See how the power of your mind can reduce your anxiety about a perfectionist nature.

In a study in American Health Magazine, hypnosis and hypnotherapy have a 93% success rate compared with lower results from other methods of therapy which require far more sessions.  Click here to learn more about hypnosis and its high success rate.
