Tachycardia and The Human Body
Tachycardia (also called tachyarrhythmia) is a heart rate that exceeds the normal resting rate. When the heart beats excessively or rapidly, the heart pumps less efficiently and provides less blood flow to the rest of the body including the heart itself. The increased heart rate also leads to increased work and oxygen demand by the heart. In general, tachycardia is not good for the body as a whole.
Some people with tachycardia have no symptoms and the condition is only discovered during a physical examination or with an EKG.
Symptoms of Tachycardia
• Dizziness
• Shortness of breath
• Lightheadedness
• Rapid pulse rate
• Heart palpitations
• Chest pain
• Fainting
Tachycardia Causes
Tachycardia is caused by something that disrupts the normal electrical impulses that control the rate of your heart’s pumping action. Factors that contribute include:
• Anemia
• Exercise
• Stress
• High blood pressure
• Smoking
• Drinking too much caffeine
• Alcohol abuse
• Drug abuse
Therapeutic hypnosis and tachycardia
After consulting with your doctor, therapeutic hypnosis can help lead the body toward relaxing into a more normal rhythm. By getting the causes of tachycardia under control (anemia, exercise, stress, high blood pressure, smoking, caffeine addiction, alcohol/drug abuse) the body feels more free to enter into a healing, then healthy state.
Tachycardia, Stress and Prescription Medication
Stress can be a powerful force that plays into the causes listed above. Hypnosis as a therapy (hypnotherapy) is a prescription-free method many clients with tachycardia explore after being first examined by their doctor and discussing it with them.
See yourself in a whole new light, allow others to see the glow within you, feel more relaxed around others and feel great from the inside out — its all possible using hypnosis. Meridian Peak practitioners craft a custom hypnosis plan that get you feeling better. 99% of our clients report a significant change in how they feel after the first visit.
Hypnosis is proven more effective than traditional counseling
