The Behavior Chain – Defined

Hypnosis is an effective tool to changing and improving your behavior chain and life outcomes. Meridian Peak Hypnosis works with clients worldwide. Use our online scheduler to find an appointment time with our practitioners that are here to help.
Consider the human behavior chain and ask if it is influencing your life and/or creating positive or negative outcomes:
• Triggers – environmental, mental, emotional and/or social
• Thought – planning the action, rehearsing it mentally
• Action – the thoughts becoming measured outcomes
• Consequence – physiological, psychological, physical or emotional – realizing the outcomes and accepting their positive or negatives
Hypnosis Can Help You Improve Your Behavior Chain
By gaining access to the subconscious mind, hypnosis is one of the primary ways to address problems with the behavior chain. Our subconscious mind is frequently resistant to change, despite the fact that our conscious minds are often aware of the behaviors we desire to modify. Hypnosis allows us to gain access to the subconscious mind, which allows us to identify and change the underlying emotions and beliefs that are motivating the chain.
For instance, a smoker who is having trouble quitting might cognitively wish to do so, but their subconscious mind might still harbor ideas like “I need cigarettes to deal with stress” or “Smoking helps me relax.” Through hypnosis, these beliefs can be addressed and reframed, making it simpler for the person to make long-lasting changes.
Hypnosis Can Help You Positively Break the Behavior Chain
The behavior chain itself can be broken by hypnosis. A hypnosis practitioner can help you start to remove the instinctive association between the trigger and the behavior by breaking the chain at the trigger point, which will make it simpler for them to make an alternative decision and/or action.
Hypnosis can be useful for both breaking the cycle and reinforcing new positive behaviors. An client can be led by a hypnosis practitioner through visuals and a positive mindset during a hypnosis session to help them reinforce healthier behavior.
