What is Fear of Authority?

Fear of authority can cause anxiety, irrational behaviors, problems sleeping and other automated outcomes. Hypnosis is a tool to change these responses without medication. We work with clients both in-office and from anywhere worldwide via online hypnosis sessions.
Fear of authority, also known as “authoritophobia,” refers to an irrational or excessive fear of individuals in positions of power, such as leaders, teachers, job evaluators, doctors, managers, or government officials such as the police, judges, legislators or representatives of the people. This fear often stems from past experiences of oppression, intimidation, or a perceived loss of control. Fear of Authority can lead to anxiety, avoidance of authoritative figures, and difficulty making decisions or speaking up in situations where authority is present.
